About me
A good Journalist
The question is, what kind of journalist do I want to be? And I can say without a doubt that I want to be a good journalist.
I have the advantage of having two nationalities, I say this because I can have two view points and two diverse ways of seeing journalism. Two points of view with opposite poles because unfortunately in my country of origin, journalists and journalists are not respected and prominent journalists are unreliable and too influential.
That is why I want to be a good journalist, a journalist as Pulitzer used to say, obsessive and discontent more than a news reporter, I want to be an investigator who thinks about key issues, discussions that relate the problems of journalism with the main characters of moral thought. I want to think about the news until I get to the correct approach to the story.
I want to use technology as a fundamental tool of journalism 2.0. I want to be a journalist who reads that has a rigorous education in a specialized discipline, in my case photojournalism. I want to be a journalist who tells stories that will equally persuade everyone. I want to be an inclusive, influential, multifaceted, and multicultural journalist, I want to tell simple stories for complex people and complex stories for simple people.
I want to be a good journalist who does journalism with one objective, according to my compatriot Gabriel García Márquez, the journalist must change something every day, day by day his world must be of unusual colours and shapes, true journalism must have a goal every day It is intentional, that is, it sets a goal and tries to bring about change. There is no other journalism.
I want to be a journalist of independent and convergent thinking who does not stop with the truth by halves but delves into the roots of the news. A journalist who always asks himself questions to get to the truth and who maintains the capacity for wonder.I want to be a journalist who, first, respects the human being in his own privacy, personality, and scale of values. A fundamental condition for doing journalism is to be able to function in conjunction with others, that is, as a function of the community.
